New Delhi:  The union cabinet had a meeting this morning at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s official residence. The meeting was followed by a press conference at Shastri Bhavan in New Delhi.
 Here are the highlights of the press briefing:
 
- Cabinet has approved setting up of a committee headed by PM to commemorate nationwide the 125th birth anniversary of Dr Ambedkar.
 - Cabinet approves agreement on Coastal shipping between India & Bangladesh to carry out movement of goods between the two countries.
 - Cabinet approves signing of MoU with Bangladesh on prevention of human trafficking especially of women & children, helping speedy prosecution.
 - Land acquisition ordinance has been cleared for the sake of continuity and to ensure farmers get their due.
 - Cabinet approves reclassification / upgradation of some cities towns / cities for granting HRA & Transport Allowance to central government employees.
