Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza entered her maiden final at the prestigious Wimbledon with Swiss partner Martina Hingis. Can she do one better and take the ultimate crown? Catch all the live and latest updates here (All Times in IST):

23:59 The top seeds now have 9 forced errors while Makarova-Vesnina have 13.

23:49 Both pairs holding their serves and it’s 1-1 in the second set.

23:44 Makarova-Vesnina take the first set 7-5 and it’s an uphill task for the top seeds from here on.

23:38 A late break for Makarova-Vesnina and they are now serving for the set.

23:31 Sania-Martina have just 2 forced errors while the second seeded pair have 7 to their name. The top seeds lead 5-4 and Makarova-Vesnina have to serve to stay in the set.

23:25 Sania-Martina have had 2 break opportunities while Makarova-Vesnina have one. It’s 4-3 to the top seeds in the first set.

23:19 The top seeds hold their serve and at 3-2 are well poised to take the first set. Long way to go though for the Indo-Swiss pair.

23:13 Sania-Martina hold their serve and it’s 2-1 to them in the first set. Both them and Makarova-Vesnina have won one break point each.

23:11 Good comeback by Sania-Martina as they break back to make it 1-1 in the first set.

23:07 Not the ideal start as Sania’s serve is broken by Makarova-Vesnina.

23:01 Earlier today Serena Williams dispatched Garbine Muguruza in straight sets to clinch her 6th Wimbledon title.

22:58 As far as the seedings are concerned it’s 1 vs 2 so not much to choose from between the players. One can only hope to see some enthralling tennis as the game progresses.

22:53 It’s almost time for the match and history is beckoning for India’s Sania Mirza. She has never won a Wimbledon title and today is the chance to end that drought.

Wimbledon 2015 final is Sania’s first final here across all formats in seniors though she had won the girls’ doubles title here 12 years ago with Russian Alisa Kleybanova. Martina, on the other hand, has two doubles (1996, 1998) and one singles title (1997) to her credit that she won at the lone grass court Major.

The task ahead for the top seeds though won’t be easy and will not be won on the basis of past records. The pair of Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina are seeded second and have played well so far. Can they bring down the Indo-Swede pair?
