Nightline, ABC’s late night news bulletin, used footage of Yukta Mookhey being crowned Miss World and was later forced to correct itself. Wrong Miss World, ABC!
On Twitter, the mistake was quickly seized upon:
Uh oh, @Nightline! That’s Yukta Mookhey when she was crowned Miss World. Not @priyankachopra! pic.twitter.com/6WDFcc8LSr

Nightline were sweetly thanked by Priyanka after they tweeted the correction:
Thank you for the correction @Nightline .. #Quanticohttp://t.co/F8xywfppxi

Yukta Mookhey was Miss World in 1999 and crowned Priyanka the next year. Do they look alike? ABC, which really ought to know better given that Priyanka’s face is splashed across billboards everywhere, appears to think so.
Quantico premiered last week and Priyanka’s performance as FBI rookie Alex Parrish has been singled out for praise in reviews. This is the first American show with an Indian actor headlining the cast. The show will air on Indian TV this weekend.
