Shashi Tharoor Likely to Undergo Lie Detector Test in Sunanda Pushkar Murder Case: Sources

New Delhi:  Congress lawmaker Shashi Tharoor may be asked to undergo a lie-detector test in connection with the murder case of his wife Sunanda Pushkar, sources told NDTV.

Sources said the Delhi Police may appeal in court next week for permission to conduct the test.

Six persons, including three “prime witnesses” have already undergone the lie detector test. Mr Tharoor has been questioned thrice in this case.

Ms Pushkar, 51, was found dead in a hotel suite on January 17 last year. This January, police claimed she was poisoned, and registered a murder case against unknown persons.

More details are awaited.
