PM an Expert at Packaging, Repackaging: Sonia Gandhi in Bihar's Bhagalpur

Bhagalpur, Bihar:  Congress President Sonia Gandhi today lashed out at Prime Narendra Modi for making it a habit to ‘always stay abroad.’

In her first election rally since the poll schedule was announced in Bihar, the Opposition leader hit out at the Prime Minister for spending less time in the country.

At a rally in Bhagalpur’s Kahalgaon, Ms Gandhi said, “Prime Minister ji is an expert in packaging and repackaging.”

She said that PM Modi has only misled the people of Bihar and the state elections will give new direction to the country.

Talking about 2014 general elections when BJP’s Shahnawaz Hussain lost the Bhagalpur seat, Ms Gandhi said that the people have shown faith in secularism.

Bhagalpur goes to polls on October 12. Later today, Ms Gandhi will address second rally in Gaya’s Wajirganj.

Political parties are going all out with poll campaigns for the high-stake assembly elections. The BJP-led NDA alliance has planned a campaign blitzkrieg by holding a staggering 500 rallies, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi alone addressing 20-22 big meetings.

Not to be left behind, Congress has also planned 20 rallies by the Congress president and vice-president Rahul Gandhi.

Ms Gandhi will address three rallies on October 17 in different assembly segments.

“With different Congress candidates seeking her rallies in their respective constituencies during campaigning, she may visit the state in early November to address two or three more rallies,” a senior party leader said.

Sonia Gandhi addressed the Swabhiman Rally of the grand alliance on August 30 in Patna.

Rahul Gandhi will also address over half a dozen rallies on October 26 and 30.

He will visit Bihar on October 7 to address three rallies in Bachwara segment in Begusarai district, Barbigha in Sheikhpura district and Chenari in Rohtas district.
