3 Jawans Injured in Low Intensity Bomb Blast at Gorkha Rifles Headquarters in Dehradun

Dehradun:  Three Army soldiers were injured after a low intensity bomb exploded in a truck of the Gorkha Rifles Regiment in Dehradun’s Ghanghora Cantonment region in the afternoon today.

The incident took place when one of the soldier’s touched an unknown object in the truck which resulted in the blast.


The solider who touched the object had to get his hand amputated while the other two soldier’s who suffered mild injuries have been treated.


“An investigation to ascertain the kind of explosive that caused the blast is underway,” said Ajay Singh, Dehradun Superintendent of Police.
